Widmann readies
Camera
Above, local Bisbee artist Bill Glave adds an all-seeing eye to the lens of the Camera Car Ann Widmann will ride down Brewery Gulch from Mimosa Market on Sunday.
At 11 a.m. Sunday, Bisbee’s Rolling Arts Transport Society will be back on the streets of Bisbee as part of Brewery Gulch Daze. Ann Widmann debuted her Camera Car July Fourth in Bisbee as she coasted down Main Street in Old Bisbee from Castle Rock to Grassy Park. She accompanied about 14 art coasters in the first BRATS parade. This time she will join them as they head down the Gulch from Mimosa Market and Park them near the Stock Exchange. Saturday night from 5-9 p.m., several BRATS will also have their art cars on display at the street dance in front of Atalanta’s Records and Books in Old Bisbee. Widmann has written a children's book "BRATS on Main Street," about the Bisbee Art Cars, which should be published and in Bisbee galleries by the second week of November. Bisbee Artists, Andrew Nelson and Poe Dismuke spawned the idea for BRATS art coasters and have been working for several years to get this event "rolling."
