Arizona Image Is… debuts in Bisbee galleries
|
January 2008 update
Now a delightfully quirky artist community
with a very diverse population, Bisbee is scenic, steeped in the history of the
wild West and the climate is mild – a true photographer’s paradise.
My first visit was Halloween weekend of 1987 and I was hooked. Bisbee became my escape from rampant growth in Phoenix and offered endless images to capture.

Not only am I enjoying those I meet while
gathering news, there’s still no end of things to
photograph here.
Just a few days after I arrived, I snapped an incredible picture of San Jose Mountain at sunrise. The clouds were inverted at the base of the mountain and the monsoons had painted the normally arid grasslands below a vibrant green. And all I had to do to find this image was walk out my back door. Some of these images are on display in local galleries. Two of my images are currently part of the "Arizona Asphalt" exhibit at PanTerra
Gallery on Brewery Gulch. San
Jose Mountain, along with several other of my images, will be hanging in 55 Main
Gallery by mid-March. Ann Widmann,
